Artificial Intelligence Response on Alert System

AIRAS Artificial Intelligence Response on Alert System

Artificial Intelligence Response on Alert System is EXM’s advanced solution for managing risks arising from extreme weather and hydrogeological events, with dual functionality at both the macro-regional and local levels. The idea in a nutshell:

  • Macro Level: At the macro level, AIRAS offers various conversational agents that allow users to consult and cross-reference current and historical documentation and data relating to adverse weather events in a given area, actions taken to mitigate the effects of these events, and climate emergency management in general.
  • Local level: At the local level, it is designed as a decision-support tool for administrators who have to manage weather alerts of varying intensity in their territory and make decisions to reduce the risk to the population and public and private property.

AIRAS processes documentation of past events, civil protection plans, and operational procedures, as well as data collected in the territory, interpreting texts, tables, graphs, and images. The system is able to interface with specific and local monitoring tools, becoming a decision-making support tool useful for both civil protection and local authorities.

REGIONAL ASSISTANT
A system based on generative AI that allows users to converse with the entire region’s document database and cross-reference information and data from the network of sensors located throughout the territory. The key concepts of the conversations can be viewed in the form of tables, graphs, maps, or documents, as well as in text format. Conversational agents also use weather alerts issued by the regional authority to respond in a more robust manner. Users can save conversations and browse chat history.

LOCAL ASSISTANT
A system based on generative AI and other enabling technologies capable of “suggesting” possible actions to be taken to reduce the hydro-meteorological risk of a specific territory during adverse weather events, taking as input detailed weather reports and all known information about the territory, possibly represented as a “digital twin.”
