This September marks the launch of a new line of services offered by Ex Machina Italia to universities. In addition to the numerous projects already underway at various universities, for several months we have been working on a number of AI agents, which are intended to be tools available to all university administrations (i.e., designed to be general services that can be used across universities). This idea was developed within the LineATENEI PuntoOrgani and Comenio D&M working groups and will be previewed at events. So far, we have carried out three ‘trials’ which we hope will soon become fully-fledged services available to all universities.
With regard to ‘cross-cutting’ administrative management in the university environment: the massimario, an agent that responds immediately to deadlines for the storage of a wide range of academic documents, and the tutor delibere, an expert agent that supports the drafting of proposals for resolutions aimed at producing texts according to the established template. In particular, this agent will be presented at the follow-up event “Resolutions and Artificial Intelligence,” scheduled for September 17, 2025.
In the academic planning field, an AI agent to support the drafting of the SUA-CDS will be presented at the 4th National Forum of the Comenio Didattica & Management community in Bologna on October 15, 2025.
With this initiative, Ex Machina Italia, leveraging its internal expertise on university processes and thanks above all to the contribution of the LineATENEI community of operational experts, will seek to offer highly specific AI services tailored to the common needs of all Italian universities.
